Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

At GSL Education, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with special educational needs. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals, you will be instrumental in creating and implementing personalized learning plans that cater to the unique requirements of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to understand the specific needs of each student.
  • Implement and adapt educational plans to support students' individual learning requirements.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students during classroom activities and lessons.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement.
  • Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially in providing 1:1 support to students with SEN, is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individual student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
