Astute People is seeking a highly skilled Head of Project Management to lead its Nuclear Business Units. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing complex projects and/or programs and/or project portfolios from a delivery perspective.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Line management of Project Management and Project Control teams.
  • Ownership of project-related processes and reporting, and associated tools/systems.
  • Governance and assurance supporting the delivery of projects to the Operational Business Lines.
  • Manage the project management team and ensure adequate resources and training are provided.
  • Organise the project review processes enabling the COO and Head of Business Lines to assess project performances (individually and at portfolio level).
  • Act as a point of escalation for customer queries on project-related matters in support of the Head of Business Lines.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and/or programs and/or project portfolios from a delivery perspective.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of implementing project processes, systems, and tools and understanding of finance, budget, and project accounting. Project management Certification (PMQ, working toward PPQ or equivalent).
  • A comprehensive understanding of the health, safety and environmental requirements of managing projects (incl.).
  • Experience and understanding of commercial and contract management (incl. NEC, FIDIC, ad hoc, etc.).
