About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst and Project Manager to join our Pension Systems Department at Gallagher. This exciting opportunity bridges our UK outsourcing business and globally distributed IT platforms, providing expertise in business analysis, technology consulting, and project management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support client configuration, maintain our portfolio, and improve the administration of defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid pension schemes for the UK market.

You'll Make a Real Impact
As a key member of our team, you will lead the analysis of complex business processes, workflows, and systems, identifying areas for improvement. You will conduct requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, and other methods, documenting business needs and preparing business cases. Your collaboration across teams will enable you to design and implement scalable solutions that meet business goals. Additionally, you will independently assess client needs, advocate for innovative solutions, and review requirements prepared by other analysts.

Your Key Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Work with Gallagher's Head of Product and technology teams to ensure alignment with technology guidelines.
  • Understand third-party pension administration requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Act as a communication link between business teams and IT, ensuring solutions meet the needs of UK outsourcing.
  • Oversee and manage projects across the UK outsourcing portfolio, coordinating globally distributed teams to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and execute project plans, assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance.
  • Occasionally lead project and delivery teams, ensuring timely project completion and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing, support new technology implementations, and lead stakeholder workshops and training sessions.


Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to have 5+ years of recent experience as a Business Analyst, with strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices. Proven experience managing software development projects and leading cross-functional teams is essential. You should also possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proactive, self-motivated approach. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders, are crucial. Advanced proficiency in documenting business requirements, preparing business cases, and presenting findings is required. Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement, are also necessary. Experience in UK pensions administration and third-party pension administration businesses is desirable. Knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel), and Agile methodologies is highly valued. Technical expertise in web application security, data transfer protocols, and web and Windows services is beneficial. Familiarity with business process modelling, enterprise architecture, and cloud solutions is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary, £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a wide range of benefits, including a minimum of 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, and the option to 'buy' extra days.
