The Academics team is seeking a dedicated individual to work alongside our classroom teachers and support staff in promoting the mental well-being of our students. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping students maintain their focus and develop strategies to address potential triggers for their trauma and psychological needs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting young people in their emotional and social development. You will work closely with our occupational and behavioural therapists and psychologists to develop a deeper understanding of how to provide high-quality care for our students.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring therapist to gain valuable work experience and develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of students and develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges they face.

The role will include coaching students in addressing their psychological needs, working with the classroom teacher to develop strategies to support students' mental health, and providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
