Aircraft Systems Specialist

At Flexjet Europe, we are seeking an experienced Aircraft Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Aircraft Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems.
The successful candidate will have a B1 or B1/B2 License, with B1.3 for rotary aircraft being desirable. They will also have proven experience in directly related aviation, with corporate aircraft experience being preferred. Type ratings on GVI, EMB550, and S76 are also desired. A strong working knowledge of EASA/UK CAA: Part 145, Part M, Part CAMO, Part 21 is essential.
The Aircraft Systems Specialist will be responsible for:
- Performing all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and regulatory requirements
- Removing and disassembling defective parts; assembling and installing replacement parts and testing aircraft systems
- Operating all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments
- Completing all required maintenance records in an accurate manner to include accurately reporting of times required to accomplish the tasks assigned
- Maintaining a valid driver's license
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to work effectively under pressure, and have excellent communication skills. They will also be detail-oriented and well organized, with the ability to multi-task within a team environment. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential for this role. Specialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the company. The successful candidate will be based in Farnborough, UK.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee will occasionally be exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 5Kg and occasionally lift and move up to 22.5 KG. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
