Academics Ltd are working with an outstanding Special Needs school in Wokingham to appoint an English Teacher.

We are seeking a fully qualified teacher (with QTS) who is passionate about their subject; has high expectations and good classroom management. The role entails teaching children from the ages of 3-18, with a range of needs: Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated interest in Special Educational Needs
  • Be passionate about their subject and a great practitioner with high expectations and good classroom management,
  • Be interested in the science of learning and committed to continuous improvement,
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and contribute to a team; have clear vision, energy and commitment to all aspects of school life,
  • Have a desire and passion to make a real difference to the lives and life-chances of our students.
  • QTS (with PGCE in Secondary English) required
  • Experience working in KS1-KS5 would be a plus

Estimated Salary Range: £35,000 - £55,000 per year
