About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energetics Chemist to lead our team in a prestigious laboratory. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting trials on explosive materials and munitions, as well as engineering tests on innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of chemists and engineers in conducting laboratory research and testing
  • Design and manufacture formulations for energetic materials
  • Develop and validate non-energetic materials used in energetic formulations and processes
  • Collaborate with clients to present data and concepts
  • Write reports and procedures, and maintain high standards of laboratory safety
Requirements
  • Minimum of a degree in Chemistry or Materials Science
  • Proven track record of planning and undertaking laboratory work independently and safely
  • UK Driving licence
  • High standard of literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
Desirable Requirements
  • Health & Safety training – IOSH Managing Safely or similar
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and COSHH legislation
