Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Clinical Department Lead at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the operational management of one of our business units and contributing to the delivery of our trust's strategic objectives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience of leading and managing teams within a healthcare setting;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Proven track record of improving services and achieving positive outcomes;
  • Knowledge of current healthcare policies and legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the operational management of the designated business unit, ensuring effective workforce planning, performance, and ongoing business development;
  • Working collaboratively with clinical leads and matrons to deliver strategic plans and objectives;
  • Liaising with senior nursing staff, AHPs, and consultant medical staff to coordinate strategic development and service improvement initiatives;
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence, and driving continuous quality improvement;

Estimate Salary

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
