The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Head of Internal Communications to join our team. As a specialist in internal communications, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering strategic communications that engage, inform, and inspire our employees across the globe. You will work closely with the C-Suite and other stakeholders to drive internal communications aligned with our growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute internal communications strategies that support the delivery of our five-year 'Pathway' strategy and engage employees across the group.
  2. Ensure our leaders are visible and sharing content that encourages dialogue, feedback, and participation from leaders and employees at all levels.
  3. Manage the creation and distribution of clear, concise, and compelling content for a variety of channels, including email, intranet, video, and social media.
  4. Coordinate with group teams, business units, and regional teams to ensure consistent messaging and to highlight key initiatives and achievements.
  5. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and initiatives, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  6. Provide communications support and guidance to senior leaders, helping them to communicate effectively with their teams.
  7. Stay informed about best practices in internal communications and propose innovative tools and approaches to enhance employee engagement.
  8. Handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold the company's values in all communications.
  9. Organize virtual and in-person events, such as town halls, Q&A sessions, and leadership presentations, to foster a sense of community and dialogue across the organization.
Key Deliverables
  1. Develop a Group Internal Communications strategy aligned to our purpose and values that will drive opportunities to keep improving our colleague engagement and understanding of our strategy, commercial objectives, and the underlying Pillars that will help us achieve it.
  2. Create high-quality and engaging content across our internal communication channels, including The Pulse, our Group newsletters, intranets, email campaigns, video messages, and other channels that will engage our diverse workplace.
  3. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to gather information and insights regarding their communication needs.
  4. Drive communications linked to our purpose, such as ESG, D&I, Colleague Wellbeing, and Recognition initiatives, to build and promote our Amazing Azets culture.
  5. Respond and analyze feedback from our core colleagues' engagement surveys to ensure our strategic priorities are being embedded.
  6. Drive major Group initiative communications, ensuring timely and transparent communication to our colleagues on major changes that take them on the journey.
  7. Work with our M&A team to drive best practice internal communications frameworks to engage new colleagues joining Azets.
  8. Establish metrics and KPIs to help us evaluate the effectiveness of our internal communication initiatives and analyze the data to continuously improve our communication activities.
Requirements
  • Experience working for an international Group company with diverse stakeholders across different geographies and cultures.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to develop strategic internal communications plans that align with the company's goals and objectives and adapt strategies to changing organizational needs.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for presenting information and ideas to employees, leadership, and stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and direct senior colleagues.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools and content management systems (CMS), such as Interact, Poppulo. Skills in video editing and graphic design are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage communications calendars.
  • Competence in measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of communication strategies using metrics and KPIs to guide decisions and improvements.
  • Understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences and nuances, ensuring communications are inclusive and resonate with a diverse, international workforce.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in crisis situations, maintaining calm and providing clear and concise information to employees.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in internal communications.
  • Understanding of how to foster employee engagement, morale, and culture through effective communications.
