Accountant Role

Rafferty Resourcing is seeking a talented Accountant to join their super friendly and rapidly growing team. You'll work in a modern setting, alongside a team of hardworking professionals who put their clients at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

  • Provide exceptional client care via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio.
  • Evaluate and provide tax guidance for clients, optimizing their tax efficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and complete book-keeping and VAT returns as required.
  • Liaise between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to resolve queries.
  • Maintain electronic filing of books and records.
  • Efficiently manage client administration and records.
  • Engage in tasks necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment.
  • Prepare and execute year-end client meetings as required.
  • Ensure all internal and statutory deadlines are met.

The Person:

  • Must hold membership to a professional body.
  • At least 2 years accounting practice experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure for internal and external deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of QuickBooks and Xero.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Positive, friendly, and professional appearance for an office environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and improve skills for personal development.
  • Self-motivated and confident to seek assistance when necessary.
