Accountant
Rafferty Resourcing is seeking a talented individual to join their super friendly and rapidly growing team. The Role
- Provide first-class client care at all times via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio.
- Evaluate and provide tax guidance for clients, optimizing their tax efficiency.
- Complete, review, and prepare book-keeping and VAT returns where required.
- Liaise between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to deal with and resolve queries.
- Maintain electronic filing of books and records.
- Efficiently manage client administration and records.
- Engage in tasks and activities necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment.
- Prepare and execute year-end client meetings as required.
- Ensure all internal and statutory deadlines are met, including HMRC and SLA.
- Carry out client fee reviews.
The Person:
- Must hold membership to a professional body (does not need to be a chartered body).
- At least 2 years of accounting practice experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure for both internal and external deadlines (including HMRC).
- Effective communication skills, both within the company and with clients.
- Good knowledge and understanding of QuickBooks and Xero.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- A positive, friendly, and professional appearance for an office environment.
- An eagerness to learn and improve skills for personal development.
- Self-motivated and confident to seek assistance when necessary.
