Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Speak team in delivering innovative voice experiences that captivate users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive generative voice AI strategy.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a diverse team of applied research scientists, machine learning engineers, and data specialists.
  • Advocate for advanced voice capabilities across the company, influencing senior leaders and driving knowledge sharing.
  • Cultivate a collaborative engineering culture and foster a diverse, inclusive team that reflects our customers and the world.
  • Directly manage a team of 5-10 people.
  • Work closely with product leads to define strategy, success metrics, and roadmaps.
  • Influence technical design and architecture of the Speak team's stack.
  • Collaborate with leaders to plan and execute impactful initiatives requiring multiple teams.
Requirements:
  • Significant expertise in generative voice and speech, or experience in modern generative audio with a willingness to transition to voice and speech.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a text-to-speech or modern generative AI audio team to incorporate generative AI into consumer-facing products.
  • Strong servant leadership skills, with a passion for mentorship and coaching.
  • Ability to distill complex information into easy-to-understand concepts and lead teams through ambiguity.
  • Experience bringing research to market as amazing products for users.
