About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Forensic Community Mental Health Specialist to join our dynamic team at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical leadership, assessment, and management of patients on the community caseload. This includes contributing to the on-call rota for the wider Forensic Service and working collaboratively with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team.

About the Team

Our team has exceeded commissioner targets for successful repatriation of patients into the local community. We are embarking on an exciting project to remodel community forensic services, enhancing our consultation model and reducing inequalities in the region.

Main Duties
  • Provide safe and effective care and treatment based on evidence-based practice.
  • Share the vision of integrated and multi-disciplinary working, actively engaging in the development of the service through research and support.
  • Be approved as a Responsible Clinician or willing to undertake training to obtain Section 12(2) MHA.
Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications and experience in psychiatry, preferably with a background in community mental health or forensic services.
  • Desirable experience of working within custodial settings.
