Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified healthcare professional to join our team as a Functional Assessor. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the disability assessment process, working autonomously to assess cases and provide fair and accurate reports.

This position involves holding consultations with individuals applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefits. You will work closely with your line manager to advance your own professional development and career as a Functional Assessor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Holding telephone, video, or in-person consultations with individuals applying for PIP or WCA benefits
  • Assessing complex conditions and impairments
  • Writing high-quality, fair, and accurate assessment reports using our special IT system
  • Working with your line manager to advance your own professional development and career

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months post-registration experience working as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist
  • Full registration with one of the following professional bodies: Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
