Job Description

The Personal Development Coordinator is a dynamic role that contributes to the overall success of Rotherham College, part of the RNN Group. This position involves creating and delivering engaging programmes of personal development activities and events that cater to the diverse needs of college learners.

The successful candidate will have experience working in educational environments, particularly in Further Education/Post-16 settings. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive schedule of physical health and wellbeing initiatives, collaborating with external partners to deliver guest speaker sessions and learner voice activities linked to themed weeks.

The Personal Development Coordinator will work closely with learners to explore topics such as physical health, wellbeing, and all-round personal development, using their event management skills to plan and execute various activities, workshops, and events.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create and deliver engaging programmes of personal development activities and events.
  • Develop a comprehensive schedule of physical health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external partners to deliver guest speaker sessions and learner voice activities linked to themed weeks.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working in educational environments, preferably in Further Education/Post-16 settings.
  • Ability to engage with students, manage resources, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create impactful experiences.
  • Qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, and experience facilitating events.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work with respect and confidentiality.
