Senior Sales Director

Job Description
VPG is a global leader in precision measurement sensing technologies, addressing a wide range of applications where accuracy, reliability, and repeatability make a difference. Our expertise enables the design and safety of new generations of cars, trucks, and planes, as well as the optimization of advanced medical equipment and consumer products.
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Director to join our Force Sensors division. The ideal candidate will have a strong business and finance background, with experience in sales and business development of Industrial Automation products/Sensors to OEMs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales and customer support team across Europe.
- Partner with the management team to drive sales growth and maximize market potential.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the team to achieve sales targets.
- Monitor and report on all sales activity and results.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and quarterly forecasts by customer, product, and territory.
- Explore and develop new business opportunities and market segments within the territory.
- Select subordinate sales staff to ensure smooth growth and support company objectives.
- Organize and participate in regional meetings to facilitate efficient business practices.
- Travel across the region up to 50%.
Requirements:
- BS in a related discipline; MBA a plus.
- 10+ years of significant experience in sales and business development at a senior level position.
- Experience in sales and business development of Industrial Automation products/Sensors to OEMs.
- Strong business and finance background and experience.
- Knowledge of commercial transactional processes involved with sales.
- Previous experience negotiating multi-year contracts with large, global OEMs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
