About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at Locri Recruitment. As a key member of our ecological consultancy, you will be responsible for managing and conducting a wide range of ecological assessments, including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and conduct ecological assessments, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Protected Species Surveys, and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
  • Provide expert advice to clients and deliver high-quality ecological reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and contribute to the company's strategic growth and development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of four years of experience in ecological consultancy.
  • Bat Survey Licence (Level 2).
  • Strong skills in Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and Protected Species Surveys.
  • Familiarity with Biodiversity Net Gain and its application in ecological assessments.
  • Good knowledge of British flora and fauna.
  • Understanding of wildlife legislation and the planning system.
  • Excellent report writing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Full driving licence.
Preferred Skills
  • Specialist experience in assessing and reporting Biodiversity Net Gain.
  • Experience in applying for and implementing European Protected Species Mitigation Licences.
  • Familiarity with BREEAM 2018 Ecology Assessments.
