Crime Scene Investigator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crime Scene Investigator to join our team at Dorset Police. As a Crime Scene Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting scientific examinations at crime scenes and associated locations to identify, record, and recover physical and digital forensic evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments of scenes and forensic evidence to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Attend all categories of crime scenes and associated locations to conduct scientific examinations.
- Collect and analyze physical and digital evidence to support investigations.
- Liaise with officers, members of the public, and victims of crime to secure effective cooperation and coordination of scene investigations.
- Take responsibility for gathering information from relevant sources to ascertain the circumstances of incidents.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in crime scene investigation and forensic analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driving license and ability to travel to crime scenes.
