About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our administration systems required for various quality accreditations. This includes BRC and Red Tractor standards. Your responsibilities will include updating systems and procedures to develop best practices within the business, ensuring conformity to BRC, and updating product specifications for customers and internal finished products.

You will also be responsible for factory data management, trending reports, and input, as well as responding to customer complaints, including root cause, corrective, and preventive actions, reporting, and trending complaints. Additionally, you will interpret, trend, and report micro results, coordinate internal audit schedules, and assist with internal audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating of systems and procedures to develop best practice within the business and ensure conformity to BRC
  • Updating and maintaining product specifications for customers and own internal finished product specifications
  • Factory Data management, trending reports and input
  • Responding to customer complaints including root cause, corrective and preventive actions, reporting and trending complaints
  • Interpreting, trending, and Reporting of micro results
  • Coordinate Internal Audit Schedule and assisting with Internal Audits
  • Conduct traceability exercises
  • Report writing to close out compliance or third-party audits
  • Initiating Corrective action follow ups
  • Taking meeting minutes and circulating within the Quality / Technical team
  • Taking an active role in the maintenance of the Site HACCP and Quality Management plans
  • Maintenance of waste transfer records

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with excellent collaboration and communication skills, who is able to manage multiple projects and demands. A Degree in food science or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Knowledge and experience of implementing BRC standards is required. Excellent I.T skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are also essential.

Estimated salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience.
