Finnings is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technologist to support the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery in a fast-paced workshop environment.

This role offers a competitive salary of £39,800 per year, plus a range of benefits, including:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated and dynamic self-starter

Duties will include:

  1. Conducting detailed inspections of machinery to identify areas for repair and refurbishment
  2. Carrying out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to enable accurate cost evaluations and warranty agreements
  3. Producing comprehensive lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work
  4. Undertaking overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machinery, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention, re-installing original or replacement parts
  5. Inspecting and testing completed machines to ensure they operate at expected performance levels
