Job Opportunity: Band 6 Psychiatric Liaison Nurse
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to young people in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Clinical Expertise: Provide day-to-day leadership to a clinical team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service within available resources.
- Specialist Assessments: Conduct specialist mental health assessments for young people presenting in crisis, including care and safety planning, risk assessment, and discharge management.
- Rotating Shifts: Work on a rotating shift basis, covering a seven-day rota, to provide community CAMHS duty and A&E liaison services.
- Liaison and Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with partner agencies and professionals to support young people in crisis.
- Reducing Hospital Presentations: Aim to reduce the number of presentations and admissions to acute hospitals, facilitating discharge once physical health needs are addressed.
- Liaison with Acute Care: Act as a liaison to acute care colleagues for young people with mental health needs admitted to A&E or acute pediatric wards.
- Specialist Interventions: Provide specialist mental health assessments and interventions to young people, offering advice and consultation on appropriate mental health care planning.
