Specialist Educator for SEND Support
Prospero Teaching is a leading provider of specialist educational support. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our team of dedicated professionals work tirelessly to provide high-quality tuition services that cater to the unique needs of each individual.
Salary and Benefits
We offer an attractive salary package, including £25 per hour (negotiable), to our successful candidates. As a Specialist Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly, with hours varying depending on family convenience. Our part-time positions typically involve 10 hours per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEND Specialist Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess QTS or equivalent qualifications, UK classroom teaching experience, and PECS/Makaton training (preferred but not essential). You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education, boosting attainment levels, and re-engaging them in their learning. Your creativity, patience, and willingness to think outside the box will make you an excellent fit for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed as a SEND Specialist Tutor, you must hold the right to work in the UK, possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application), and provide two professional child-related references. Your ability to work effectively with challenging behavior and disengaged pupils will be invaluable in this position.
Benefits and Opportunities
As a Prospero Teaching employee, you will enjoy the satisfaction of making a real difference in the lives of your students. Our supportive environment encourages professional growth, and we offer opportunities for continued development and training. With us, you'll have the chance to work closely with families, collaborating to create personalized learning plans that cater to each pupil's unique needs.
