About the Position

Simon Fraser University is seeking a seasoned Director, Recruitment and Enrolment to drive strategic enrolment leadership and management for the Beedie School of Business undergraduate program. This key role provides guidance to prospective students throughout their journey from recruitment to enrolment, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience. The successful candidate will lead the Admissions, Recruitment, and Enrolment unit, collaborating closely with the Associate Dean, Central Services, and other departments to foster a diverse student body and continuously improve admissions processes.

About the Role

The Director, Recruitment and Enrolment will provide overall direction and strategic leadership for all aspects of recruitment, admissions, and strategic enrolment management for the Beedie School of Business Undergraduate Business Program. This includes developing and evaluating effective business processes, rules, policies, and procedures; planning and implementing strategies for the recruitment of qualified undergraduate students from local, national, and international markets; and maintaining admissions processes and practices within the school to ensure high standards of admissions assessment. The Director will also participate in long-term planning to define the goals and objectives of the unit and contribute to the development and implementation of all prospective marketing and communications initiatives for Undergraduate Business Programs.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline and four years of related experience, including experience in admissions, academic program planning, development, and operations; marketing; communications; and student recruitment. Key qualifications include:
  1. Expert understanding of strategic enrolment management principles.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and international secondary and post-secondary education systems.
  3. Proficient in the principles and practices of marketing, communications, and public relations.
  4. Exceptional research and analytical skills.
  5. Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
