Job Description

The Strategic Business Leader is responsible for driving the commercial success of the team, leveraging short-term planning and execution, as well as long-term strategic and structural improvement of the business' performance.

Key responsibilities include analysing client segments, regional and sector-based opportunities and risks to position the team as a winner in the global competitive landscape.

Working closely with the Commercial Director, the Strategic Business Leader will maintain appropriate metrics and strategies, as well as robust profit management processes to achieve this goal.

As the highest point of escalation for studio-related matters, including client-related issues, internal production, and people management, the Strategic Business Leader will be responsible for supporting and managing leaders in each function area to drive results in quality, creativity, production, client service, and culture.

The role requires a strong understanding of the life cycle of a project from end to end, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders for a mutually positive project outcome.

Key skills and qualifications include high-level commercial acumen, self-starting entrepreneurial spirit, innate humility, ability to execute and implement change, critical thinking, leadership, goal orientation, proactive solutions-focused attitude, and outstanding communication skills.

A minimum of 8 years' experience in Architectural Visualisation or a similar industry, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in client management and creative strategy, is required.

A BA degree or equivalent in Marketing/Communications/Construction/Architecture/Architectural Visualisation is desired but not necessary.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensure current and ongoing commercial success of the team.
  2. Analyse client segments, regional and sector-based opportunities and risks.
  3. Work with the Commercial Director to maintain metrics and strategies.
  4. Act as the highest point of escalation for studio-related matters.
  5. Support and manage leaders in each function area.
  6. Manage client satisfaction.
  7. Identify ways to improve creative and commercial operations.
  8. Anticipate issues and communicate proactively.
  9. Responsible for scheduling staff reviews and creating professional development plans.
  10. Strengthen and expand relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  11. Work cross-functionally to implement projects.
  12. Drive internal initiatives to improve process, policies, and outcomes.
  13. Implement new policies and procedures.
  14. Assist with company and strategic initiatives.
  15. Establish and manage training, salary, and studio budgets.
  16. Maintain an ongoing recruitment pipeline.
