Education Specialist for Behaviour Support

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Positive Behaviour Specialist to join our team in a long-term role at an inclusive primary school in North London. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children who have autism and behavioural needs, providing individualised support and creating positive learning experiences.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or specialist setting. Knowledge or experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and behaviour management strategies is highly desirable. A kind, reliable, and passionate approach to helping children reach their full potential is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 and small group teaching using principles of ABA and Verbal Behaviour Analysis, under the direction of the Class Teacher.
- Support pupils during lessons with strategies tailored to individual behaviour plans and learning targets.
- Possitively and consistently manage challenging behaviour, recording incidents in line with school policies.
- Supervise and assist pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Address personal care, health, and hygiene needs, keeping accurate records and liaising with the Class Teacher.
- Dispense medication occasionally, following established school protocols.
- Collect and analyse data to support planning and assessment in collaboration with the Class Teacher and ABA Tutor.
