Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Housing Support Specialist to join our team in Merseyside. This is a full-time position, working 37 hours a week, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

About the Role

As a Housing Support Specialist, you will work closely with adult males in custodial or community environments, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals. Your primary responsibilities will include managing a caseload, conducting initial assessments, recording progress, and maintaining contact with participants. You will also establish effective working relationships and meet deadlines, all while upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of individuals requiring housing support
  • Conduct initial assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized plans
  • Record progress and maintain regular contact with participants
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues, service users, and external stakeholders
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results

Requirements:

This role requires a strong understanding of homelessness legislation and experience working in the criminal justice sector. While training and support are provided, prior knowledge of these areas is ideal. A DBS check is mandatory for this position.
