Senior Chess Coach for Devon County Teams

Devon Junior Chess Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced chess coach to lead our squads in training events.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive chess, with experience in coaching players of various ages and skill levels.
This role involves leading group coaching sessions for U11, U14, and U18 players, focusing on strategic development and game improvement.
We are looking for someone who can inspire and motivate young players to reach their full potential, while also promoting teamwork and camaraderie within the squad.
The selected candidate will work closely with the association's management team to develop coaching plans, set goals, and evaluate player progress.
A key aspect of this role is fostering a positive learning environment that encourages players to take risks, learn from their mistakes, and strive for excellence.
In exchange for their expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive annual salary of £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
