We are seeking a highly skilled Child Health Specialist to join our team at NHS. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families in Nottingham City.

">About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience working with diverse or disadvantaged groups and a proven track record of delivering health promotion activities to groups. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within a 0-19 integrated public health team.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned caseload and be responsible and accountable for this caseload.
  • Deliver evidence-based packages of care to give Nottingham children the best start in life.
  • Signpost families to other services to ensure that children, young people, and families have the support they require to meet their individual needs.

You will work closely with other key partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality children's services to school-aged children and young people throughout Nottingham City. The salary for this role is £38,890 - £44,541 per annum, depending on experience.

">Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse) qualification.
  • Non-medical prescribing (V100 or V300) qualifications.
  • Evidence of further professional development, including Dip Level 2 Modules in Family Planning, Teaching & Assessing, and Counselling.

We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual who is willing to be flexible over hours worked within contracted hours to meet the needs of the service.
