Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated marketing and communications professional to join our team. As a key member of our marketing and communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our services and engage with our target audience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote our services and engage with our target audience.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, practitioners, and marketing and communications colleagues to build Compass's profile in both the local and national context.
  • Develop and distribute content, including social media, news stories, and marketing assets, to promote our services and engage with our target audience.
  • Work with our digital team to develop and implement online engagement strategies to reach our target audience.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced marketing and communications professional who has a proven track record of developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A communications/marketing degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous relevant experience of successfully working in a marketing or communications role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent copywriting, proof-reading, and editorial skills.
  • Proven experience in supporting the delivery, development, and evaluation of high-quality and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Strong social media skills/experience; ability to monitor and build engagement using both paid and organic techniques.
  • Demonstrable skills in graphic design, illustration, and photo and video production and editing using the Adobe Suite.
  • Ability to create and analyze engaging marketing emails using Mailchimp (or similar).
  • Competent use of WordPress CMS to update and develop service webpages.
  • Ability to use analytics tools to create meaningful reports, including Google Analytics.
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience of organizing successful events and campaign launches.

Additional Criteria

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Digital marketing/communication methods, technologies, and platforms.
  • Best practice for Search Engine Optimization.
  • Relevant marketing theories and models.
  • Ability to work from home with intermittent travel across England (including occasional overnight away).
  • Able to work all year round and flexibly as part of a team to best meet business needs.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Able to undertake the demands of the post with reasonable adjustments where required.
