**Job Title:** Project Engineer
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at MET Recruitment UK LTD. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and support services
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
- Manage and coordinate with contractors and vendors as required
- Prepare and submit tenders for new equipment and manage the installation and commissioning process
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
- Previous experience as a project engineer in the engineering industry
- Proficient in 2D and 3D design software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent project tracking software
- Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Computer literate and able to communicate at various levels
- Able to work with cross-functional teams and multiple disciplines day-to-day
- Able to prioritize tasks, deadlines, and concurrent projects
- Work through own initiative as well as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment
- Willingness to travel as required
Benefits:
- 37 hours per week
- 7:30am – 4pm Monday – Thursday, with an early finish on Fridays
- £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
- 33 days annual leave (including statutory days)
