Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at MET Recruitment UK LTD. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and support services
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors and vendors as required
  • Prepare and submit tenders for new equipment and manage the installation and commissioning process

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
  • Previous experience as a project engineer in the engineering industry
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D design software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent project tracking software
  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Computer literate and able to communicate at various levels
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams and multiple disciplines day-to-day
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deadlines, and concurrent projects
  • Work through own initiative as well as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment
  • Willingness to travel as required

Benefits:

  • 7:30am – 4pm Monday – Thursday, with an early finish on Fridays
  • £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
