Job Summary

The Power Systems Engineer will provide technical engineering services with minimal supervision in respect of mechanical and electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, supervision, and installation.

This role is part of a multi-skilled team covering the North London service area, providing day-to-day operational duties and responding to faults and service outages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks.
  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting of actions taken.
  • Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer requirements.
  • Engage with customers and build positive working relationships.
  • Participate in 24/7 365 callout response as per the scheduled rota.
  • Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria and is maintained to conform to agreed company standards.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Arqiva SHEQ policy.

Requirements

  • Driving license (full UK).
  • City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Regulations.
  • Previous experience in Field Services or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship in a similar environment.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, HVAC Systems, ACBs, Generator Systems, Static UPSs, Static Switches.
  • Working knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health, and Environment legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Some overnight stays away from home location may be required.
