Job Requirements: Doctor Now Limited is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Patient Services representative to join our team in Beaconsfield. As a key member of our front office team, you will provide exceptional patient care, administrative support, and ensure seamless communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a friendly greeting to patients, answer phone calls promptly, and handle a wide range of inquiries, including booking appointments, processing prescriptions, and dealing with general administration tasks.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it remains clean and tidy, and deploy spillage kits as needed.
  • Alert patients to delays, ring through to clinicians to inform them of waiting patients, and keep patients informed regarding any delays.
  • Restock clinical room trollies, deal with uncollected prescriptions, and send pathology results to patients once assigned by a clinician.
  • Book, cancel, and re-arrange appointments at the reception desk, take payments on the day, and accurately log cash payments.
  • Deal with patient samples and collections for our laboratory, handle general enquiries, and promote our memberships and services at Reception.
  • Add information to patient records, paying careful attention to detail, and pass prescription requests through to clinicians during Prescription slots.
  • Ensure the relevant clinician's door plate and Doctor's stamp are in place as they come on duty, and deploy spillage kits at Reception/in the waiting area as required.
  • Stock replenishment at Beaconsfield Reception, and alert a clinician immediately and offer assistance if a patient appears unwell in the waiting room.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Lead or another clinician/Patient Services Team Leader.
  • Deal with any paperwork that can be actioned at Reception, and ensure self-pay on site ultrasound scans are billed to the patient.

Requirements:

  • Educational achievement to at least GCSE (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths.
  • Computer literate, able to use a range of software programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new IT software quickly with training.
  • Proven experience in a Front of House role, excellent communication skills both written and oral, and excellent organisation, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Able to think laterally and find solutions to problems, with a high degree of confidentiality & integrity.

Benefits: The estimated salary for this position is around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, and a supportive working environment.
