The Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly in AWS, and a strong understanding of infrastructure as code projects. They will be responsible for building, automating, and scaling our cloud infrastructure, including AWS services and critical IT services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Python programming and experience with Docker and Terraform. They will also be familiar with industry-leading monitoring tools, such as Datadog, and have experience with hands-on software engineering as part of a larger team or project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive infrastructure as code projects and architecture to improve and remediate Taptap Send's cloud infrastructure.
  • Work with other engineering teams to ensure optimal operation of Taptap Send's systems, including responding to large-scale incidents and day-to-day operational responsibilities.
  • Assure effective integration between Taptap Send's cloud environment and core IT systems.
Requirements
  • Hands-on cloud experience, especially in AWS, with AWS certification preferred.
  • Hands-on experience developing scalable, modular infrastructure as code projects using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Fundamental knowledge of cloud networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container schedulers, including AWS ECS & EKS, Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon, or Docker Enterprise.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading monitoring tools, like Datadog.
  • Experience with hands-on software engineering as part of a larger team or project.
  • Experience programming in Python, with other systems programming experience a plus.
  • Experience administering or integrating with identity management systems for SSO, including AWS IAM, Okta, Active Directory.
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field.
