Learning Support Assistant Opportunity

Parker Smith Inclusion is working with an 'Outstanding' mainstream primary school in Redbridge to find a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their SEN team.

About the Role

This is a long-term to permanent opportunity for a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support children with a range of SEN and mostly SEMH needs in year 4. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting young people with SEN, being firm but also warm and nurturing, and able to deliver interventions and be academically fluent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver maths and literacy interventions to students in year 4 who are working at year 2 level
  • Support in the classroom and run interventions with small groups of 6
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting SEN in a school environment is essential
  • An ability to provide a calming and engaging presence
  • A bubbly and energetic mindset with a good sense of fun
