Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at the London Borough of Redbridge. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality, accessible curriculum across our school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students with varying needs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Provide positive learning experiences for all students, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum and the achievement of student outcomes.
  • Support the development of students' literacy and numeracy skills through targeted interventions and activities.
Requirements:
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of working with young people in an educational environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • High expectations of learning and behavior and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
