Production Planner

We are seeking a meticulous Production Planner to join our team at Tech Connect Group in Farnborough. As a key member of our Systems & Planning team, you will be responsible for daily and weekly planning within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and level load a rolling 6-week Production Plan to ensure efficient production.
  • Accurately manage Manufacturing orders through all levels of the Bill of Material (BOM) to prevent delays.
  • Collaborate with the Demand team to update Sales Order 'ship by dates' and ensure alignment with jobs.
  • Monitor launch and completion adherence to meet customer expectations.
  • Work with the Operations team to maximize Schedule Adherence against available hours.
  • Follow the SIOP planning cycle to ensure smooth production planning.
  • Manage MRP generated exception messages in Epicor to prevent production disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to identify and resolve material shortages, preventing delays to customers.
  • Work with Material Control to address critical supply shortages or build stop risks.
  • Ensure that no demand is executed outside of the Production Plan to maintain production efficiency.
  • Escalate perceived risks and actual non-conformities in real-time to ensure prompt resolution.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated working skill, knowledge, and experience of planning management and quality control principles.
  • Strong IT system use, including Excel and Word skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Epicor system.
  • Experience in managing internal communications, working cross-functionally to deliver results, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to continuously improve and remain calm under pressure.
