Job Description

This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary systems instrumentation hardware or development engineer with a passion for system design. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills to define, evaluate, and improve complex systems across mechanics, electronics, motion control, optics, and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply systems thinking to define and manage system specifications and breakdowns ensuring alignment with project goals and performance criteria.
  • Assess, manage, and improve system performance ensuring a clear understanding of how each module impacts overall system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate complex systems incorporating mechanical, electrical, control, and software components.
  • Work hands-on with equipment and apparatus to build an in-depth understanding of machine operating characteristics and prove performance of implemented designs.
  • Prepare and maintain various types of documentation.
  • Support applications, manufacturing, and service in fault identification and resolution.

Benefits and Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
