Medical Secretary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial support to our local clinical team at the South East Wales Breast Screening Centre in Cardiff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and supporting the assessment pathway, including processing assessment clinics, typing clinic letters, recording clinical data and creating electronic treatment referrals.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, accurate audio and copy typing skills, and high-level organisational skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, but English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the local clinical team
- Plan and support the assessment pathway
- Process assessment clinics and type clinic letters
- Record clinical data and create electronic treatment referrals
- RSA Word Processing Level 2 or equivalent
- RSA Word Processing Level 3 or equivalent
- AMSPAR Qualification
- Previous medical secretary experience
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of working in a specialist breast unit
Estimated salary: £24,970 - £30,451 per annum.
