About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our team at d r newitt recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of hygiene standards are maintained across our site and customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Socio-Environmental policies and procedures.
- Achieve and maintain all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to hygiene and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive cleaning schedule and ensure all cleaning checklists are completed as per schedule.
- Manage the ordering and inventory of hygiene chemicals and consumables.
- Coordinate the laundry requirements, including delivery and collection of uniforms and allocation of coats to staff.
- Develop and implement training programs for the hygiene team on hygiene tasks and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure the introduction of new equipment does not compromise hygiene standards.
- Monitor and report on hygiene performance and implement improvements to ensure environmental micro testing results are within specification.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in hygiene and cleanliness.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Strong understanding of COSHH regulations and industry standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.What We Offer:
