Job Title: Young Persons Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young Persons Worker to join our team at With You. As a Young Persons Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse.

About the Role:

As a Young Persons Worker, you will be responsible for working with a caseload of young people to access their needs, develop care plans, deliver a variety of treatments, and refer them to other specialist support when needed.

You will also be proactively engaging with young people to provide them with the support, training, education, and guidance they need to better understand the implications of the situations they may face and the decisions they may take.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with young people and their families
  • Assess and identify the needs of young people and develop care plans to address these needs
  • Deliver a range of interventions and treatments to support young people's recovery
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure young people receive comprehensive support
  • Provide education and guidance to young people to help them make informed decisions about their lives

Requirements:

  • Excellent relationship building skills with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills to manage time effectively and prioritise work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to record and maintain accurate case details
  • Effective IT skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing, or youth work
  • Experience of working within Children's Social Care
  • Knowledge of parenting skills and issues
