Child Wellbeing Therapist Role

Relate Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland is a leading organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people. As a Child Wellbeing Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing low-intensity therapeutic support to our young clients.
About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional individual with experience working with children, young people, and families in a helping profession. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- To provide low-intervention therapeutic support and services to children, young people, and their families.
- To work collaboratively with children, young people, and families within a school setting to facilitate shared decision-making.
- To assess and engage children, young people, and families where there is a concern regarding common mental health difficulties.
As a Child Wellbeing Therapist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through our comprehensive training program. You will work closely with our experienced team members to deliver evidence-based interventions that make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.
Requirements- Experience working with children, young people, and families in a helping profession.
- Good knowledge of ethical, legal, and professional issues in working with children and young people.
- Full driving license and access to a car (for regular travel to Northampton University).
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a fixed-term position for 2 years, during which time you will complete the Children and Young People Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) training at Northampton University.
