Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Steriliser Business Team with regulatory requirements, licensing, and permits associated with the operation of the Cobalt 60 steriliser. Key responsibilities include determining and managing Cobalt 60 needs, validating source loads, and investigating new industrial irradiator technology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Determine and manage Cobalt 60 needs to meet business requirements.
  • Validate source loads and support export of returned Cobalt 60.
  • Investigate new and current industrial irradiator technology and dosimetry methods.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to the team.
  • Review operating procedures and maintain license and permit compliance.
  • Perform dosimetry calibration/verification and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Senior RPS's on strict radiological safety requirements and training.
  • Share responsibility with sites RPS's for radiological safety systems and their correct operation.
  • Report on engineering and radiological related topics to key stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring role to steriliser operational associates.

About You:

  • Hold a degree in Science or Engineering related subjects.
  • Possess 5+ years of experience working in a heavily regulated environment.
  • Demonstrate experience and ability in statistical analysis techniques.
  • Show project management experience, leading activities.
  • Have knowledge of relevant national and international standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent PC knowledge and capability.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
