About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Digital Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Fab Pub Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our digital fabrication machines, including 3D printers of different formats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation and Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain 3D printers in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure smooth production and communicate effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Workshop Management: Maintain a tidy and safe workshop environment, adhering to health and safety requirements and job queues.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections of finished products and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure functionality.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Provide status and production reports of the machines and work with Operations to check budget and expenses for the department.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with 3D printers.
  • Skills: Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and techniques, ability to work to tight deadlines, and read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Education: Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM, mechanical aptitude, and good maths skills.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation skills, and aptitude for analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills.
