The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all tender generation and internal hand-over activities, leveraging existing processes and tools to deliver compelling and compliant solutions in a timely manner while mitigating technical, commercial, and contractual risks.
Key responsibilities will include reviewing tender opportunities, compiling tender responses, cost roll-ups, supporting opportunity pricing, commercial administrative support, and preparation of terms & conditions in compliance with external and internal tendering requirements.
The Commercial Operations Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate capture and translation of technical and commercial requirements.
Key performance indicators will include timely delivery of tenders, effective risk management, and successful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Leverage existing processes and tools to deliver compelling and compliant tenders in a timely manner.
- Manage all tender activities, including review, compilation, and submission of tender responses.
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of tender responses and for winning business with integrity.
- Identify and capture technical and commercial risks in accordance with defined commercial policies.
- Collaborate with functional teams to produce required tender inputs, including cost roll-ups, slot planning, and terms & conditions mark-ups.
- Identify risk mitigation strategies in preparation for business approval.
- Coordinate tendering inputs/outputs with internal support functions.
- Develop opportunity pricing strategies that reflect customer value while fulfilling business objectives.
- Seek and document necessary business approvals in compliance with commercial policies.
- Ensure risk/governance processes are documented and followed.
- Generate and submit customer tenders/proposals.
- Participate in customer negotiations to resolve technical and commercial issues and secure project orders.
- Prepare and lead purchase order handover process.
- Manage customer and opportunity records.
- Maintain internal opportunity tracking software.
- Capture customer and market feedback.
- Support enhancement of commercial processes, tools, and policies to enable consistent and efficient pre-tender, tender, customer negotiation, and internal hand-over activities.
- Participate in capture teams for strategic opportunities.
- Support strategic cross-function initiatives.
- Update pre-qualification documentation database, join orders forecasting process, participate in commercial efficiencies initiatives, and support external and internal audits.
- Provide inputs for improvement of commercial templates and tools.
