Cornerstone Project Source, a leading UK specialist steel infrastructure fabricator based in Leicestershire, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its team.

About the Job:

This exciting opportunity involves preparing accurate and detailed estimates for projects valued at £3-4 million. As an Estimator at Cornerstone Project Source, you will be responsible for reviewing project specifications, extracting and pricing materials, establishing supply chain costs, and deciding on fabrication processes for labour pricing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, numerical, and financial skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in reading technical drawings (preferably Tekla) and knowledge of architectural structural steel fabrication and related industries are also essential.

You will work closely with project managers, generating and submitting quotation documents, managing tenders, and maintaining accurate CRM documentation. Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and working independently or as part of a team will be key aspects of this role.

About the Role:
  • Prepare estimates for projects valued at £3-4 million, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review project specifications, extract and price materials, establish supply chain costs, and decide on fabrication processes for labour pricing.
  • Generate and submit quotation documents, manage tenders, and maintain accurate CRM documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, build and maintain professional relationships with clients, and identify new business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' estimating experience in steel construction, with proficiency in reading technical drawings (Tekla preferred).
  • Strong understanding of architectural structural steel fabrication and related industries.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial skills.
  • High-level sales experience in a client-facing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Awareness of building law and regulations, contract law, and health and safety law.

The salary for this position is £45,000 per annum, and we offer a competitive benefits package.
