Job Title: Thermal & Electrical Test Engineer

Job Summary:

Certain Advantage is working in partnership with a large engineering company that operates within the aerospace industry and is currently seeking an experienced Thermal & Electrical Test Engineer. This role involves undertaking a full range of engineering activities within the Environmental test and Electrical test skill areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and undertake test operations on space equipment.
  • Design and manufacture of bespoke test setups.
  • Mechanical operations on test facilities to support desired test setup.
  • Review and analysis of post-test data.
  • Compiling of test data, producing test certification and reports.
  • Responsible for the production of local documentation.
  • Maintain test instrumentation, facilities, and equipment.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers about their projects.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the electrical/mechanical testing of high value high precision assemblies.
  • Experience in a bespoke test and manufacturing environment within the electrical/mechanical industries under high quality control.
  • Computer Literacy - especially in Microsoft office software.
  • Engineering knowledge - the ability to understand and use both mechanical and electrical formulae.
  • Knowledge of Electrical test techniques/systems & Space environmental conditions in a test environment.
  • Your knowledge of signal processing/analysis.
