Key Responsibilities- Assist the Team Leader in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure that all food safety and health regulations are complied with, and report any issues to the Team Leader.
- Support the training and development of new starters, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to improve their skills and performance, highlighting high-performing individuals.
- Monitor and report team absences, ensuring that the Team Leader is informed of any issues.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader to create a customer-focused environment, ensuring that all customers receive excellent service.
- Manage and report customer complaints, including food poisoning and foreign body allegations, in line with company policy.
- Implement the 'lead from the front' mindset, setting a clear example of product quality for all team members to follow.
- Maximize product availability, increasing sales and customer satisfaction.
- Assist the Team Leader in communicating sales goals, striving to consistently exceed sales targets.
- Train the team on new products, enabling them to drive sales.
- Maximize kitchen profitability by understanding and controlling all kitchen costs.
- You have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food retail environment, understanding how priorities can quickly change.
