About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Newbridge House, a specialist Eating Disorder unit in Sutton Coldfield. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing staff in implementing care plans for young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Conduct regular physical observations, recording vital signs and feedback to nursing staff.
  • Support patients during meal times, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
  • Liaise with staff nurses and occupational therapists to coordinate unit activities.
  • Assist with therapies, such as occupational therapy and assistant psychology, as directed by nursing staff.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, promoting trust and confidence.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with evidence of professional development.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ensure safe practice.
  • Experience using MS Office systems, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptable and supportive approach, with a commitment to equality and diversity.
