The Eventus Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Negligence Solicitor to join their team in the Hertford office. This is a permanent role available on a hybrid basis after a successful probation period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of high-value, multitrack medical negligence cases involving life-changing injuries.
  • Compile evidence in support of claims, evaluate merits, and identify legal and medical issues.
  • Calculate appropriate damages, instruct medical experts, and liaise with Counsel.
  • Communicate and negotiate with Defendant Solicitors, clients, and junior fee earners.
  • Identify, build, and nurture contacts to promote development of the work type and lead structured business development initiatives.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of PQE gained within good quality medical negligence work.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
