Job Title: Mental Health Physiotherapist

Are you a skilled Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy and a passion for working in a prison environment?

This part-time role is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking healthcare team and make a positive impact on the lives of offenders. As a Mental Health Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating a range of MSK pathologies, including complex and chronic presentations.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and mental health professionals, to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Your excellent communication and team working skills will be essential in building strong relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MSK Physiotherapy, with experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting. You will be HCPC registered and have excellent IT skills, with knowledge of Systm1 desirable.

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and you will be required to submit a submission for Disclosure as part of the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat MSK pathologies, including complex and chronic presentations
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Build strong relationships with patients and colleagues through excellent communication and team working skills
  • Contribute to the development of the MSK Health in Justice Team, promoting best practice and evidence-based care
Person Specification:
  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist
  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Good IT skills, with knowledge of Systm1 desirable
Salary:

£31,000 to £47,250 per annum, pro rata depending on experience
